Just to be clear.../

The aforementioned "plans for February" may include one, some or all of the following:

hibernation, a cupcake fast (JUST cupcakes, not NO cupcakes), the traditional February blahs, a new snowsuit, some script work for Noble Parasites, my bi-annual trip to the gym, M's birthday, Rufus' gravy-free birthday, a Valentine's Day protest, more cupcakes, anemia, my dad's birthday, a really red nose, some confusion surrounding how many days there are in a month...and maybe a spontaneous trip to Mexico if I can get enough voice gigs to cover the cost.

To my knowledge, those are the only confirmed plans on the horizon. Sorry to disappoint...

Hello Kate. As always, very good to hear from you. My vote for February (if you can afford it): avoid the blahs with a trip to Mexico with M and Rufus (and cupcakes) for M's birthday/Valentine's Day trip. Walking around on beaches or city streets in the tropical heat should equal a gym workout (or is that just in my world?) Make special cupcakes (or a treat of some kind) for your dad's birthday and do the script worl during the 'to and from' parts of the Mexico trip. By all means..avoid anemia!

Thad has a suggestion for your writer's block: if the songs are coming easily, consider writing everything in song. You could leave it that way, or convert it to dialog later. He points out "Cats" which is nothing more than T.S. Elliot's peotry set to music. And it works so well!

Have to go now, but take care.

Saaaayyyy....

Can I have gravy for my birthday? Followed by cupcakes?

M.

P.S. In Mexico?

I vote for Becky's February Plan Amalgamation.

Laura, whose disappointment stems solely from the lack of cupcakes and tropical vacations on her calendar.

My birthday is in February, and every year I plan to treat myself to the luxurious (and cheap - $20!) chocolate buffet at the Ritz Carleton on Thursday nights. And then every year, two days before my plans, I remember that Valentine's Day exists. Grrr!

Hmmm... today is a Thursday.

Hooray February! My 45th birthday is on the 18th, and I plan to celebrate with a Diva Night at Cuchi Cuchi in Cambridge MA. Or something.

Cupcakes... hibernation....

*sigh*

Sounds a hell of a lot better than my February. That will involve classes of screaming Navy Brats and trying to complete the DFES (Department for Education and Skills) Standard Assessments for QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

Yupp. Hibernation & Cupcakes sounds like the way to go. And possibly the scripts. Heck, most of it sounds better than mine.

I vote for hibernation with cupcakes, if you can swing that.

Everything is better with cupcakes, after all.

Hibernation sounds good. It it were possible, I would do the same, though I'd miss my birthday in February! I think my cat and three ferrets would interupt my hibernation!

Ah, you've now experienced the weirdness known as "fannish hive mind wishful thinking."

Also, reacting to the subliminal message Rufus put into this when you weren't looking, I was forced to go to my kitchen this afternoon and bake chocolate fudge cupcakes . . . with little fish decorations on top.

Kikou !

February... The hottest month of the year.

School used to start around the 20th, but university doesn't start until march. So it's one long, hot month of working, swimming, camping, waiting for exam results to be published and being with friends. The family who were around for Christmas have usually left, so Feb is a time for friends.

After December (summer gets started, birthdays, christmas), February is probably my 2nd favourite month.

I'm off to make some more cupcakes.

I could go for the whole hibernation thing. Although I'm thinking the month of October sounds good for that. Bleh, the weather can't seem to decide what it wants to do yet. Hot or Cold? Hopefully we'll start just cooling down slowly and stop jumping back up into the 90's (30's). ooh and i'll take some of your cupcakes too!

Good luck on getting the voice gigs to cover the trip to Mexico. :)

Hi Kate,
Seeing as we are both going to be turning 29 for the next six/seven years pretty soon. How about asking for some suggestions on your blog for things to do before your ___. (I don't like the sound of it)(32 sounds better for some weird reason..perhaps the 2 at the end - my mental age!) Suggestions that don't cost a lot and can be done in about 2 weeks would be good.

Linda

Hey Paula !!!

Merci d'avance !
