Does this man look like a geek to you?/Personally, I'd say 'yes'. I'd say it loud and clear. I'd yell it off a mountain top (since I'm moving to Vancouver soon). I'd put it in print. I'd even tell the world by voting for my own brother as the best geek blogger.

The thing is, as the geeky sibling, I tell you that it it a mark of sheer pride on my behalf! I <3 my geekiness, and if I am not entirely off my mark your brother does, too. Do you really want to give him that joy of being literally CROWNED King of the (Blogging) Geeks? Imagine the power it would yield, and the holding of it over your head! I'll have to second the notion that, amongst siblings, there is always a geek. In my family, I'm it! Both my brothers fall under the "I'm a car nut who likes to spend hours and hours fixing things on my car that aren't really broke so I can squeeze a few more HPs out of it" category. Also, they're both goalies, and everyone knows goalies are weirdos...
Guess I'll mobilize the forces and "get out the vote"! We can't have your brother lose to boingboing...

Nearly having my phd in physics, knowing what a "THAC0" is and being club champion of my chess club i can definetley say that your brother does not fall into the "geekish" category. He is way too eloquent and has far too much contact with other people.

relating his name to the Hewlett Packard printers, I guess he can't get any geekier :P and being SGA's greatest geek of all times... in both literal and theoretical meaning, he just IS one big geek! I just miss the glasses, the star trek posters and a McGyver fanpack! and OMG he's called Meredith... that should really be explained someday!!
but seriously, you'r brother is a great actor and SGA would be HALF as funny without him! I loved it that you, as his sister, showed up in the series, and I certainly hope you will be back to reveal more of the McKay family!

There are several types of geeks including (but not limited to):
creepy-geeky, weird-geeky, adorable-geeky, and of course hot-geeky.
Now I've never met him but, seeing as he has a rather successful career, I will assume that he is definitely not creepy and probably not too weird. I personally find him to be an adorable geek.
Kate, Kate, Kate....I voted Hewletts - all possible catagories - some time ago. Of, course, I haven't been to the town library (libraries) in some time and really should go down to them...you know, check out the newest books, videos, internet hook-ups....
