Holy cow! Your cat is bigger than your nephew!

And please don't think I'm freaky (well I am, but not for this reason) but I IMDB'd "Warriors of Terra" and guessed who your A roommate was. Come ON, I'm a librarian, you can't leave clues like that and not expect me to hunt it down...

Your cat is pratically a pillow! Having been a former cat-pillow owner, I know that if they will sit still and purr and let you snuggle their bellies they make most pleasant home decor items.

You guys all look like you could write your own sitcom! And star in it, too. And Rufus could be used as weight training equipment. Our cats lose weight by torturing the dog.

Oh, suuuuure. Make up words. Like you're too good to use words that already exist? Writers!

The photo makes me think of a band publicity shot. "PHARK? Oh, yeah, I've heard their stuff. My favorite single is 'CatKnapper.' Great stuff. Cutting edge."

It also sounds a bit like a utensil, maybe a cross between a knife and a fork. I do think the creative reaction concept is a good interpretation:
"Dude, how did you think up that idea?"
"Oh, it was just a PHARK of inspiration."

You're lucky to share a place with people you like enough to acknowledge in public. Good luck to all of you.

But do you have your own bathroom? That is the question. I share an apartment with my brother and cousin, and without having my own bathroom, World War 3 would have started long ago. I love your cat, by the way, so cute!

Awwww, yupp. Rufus is overweight, but he looks GORGEOUS. And the pic is great, really worth you going to that extra effort to have someone put it up for you!

Oh, it's nice to be able to put faces to the names/initials. And very techy tech tech tech of you to have figured the picture posting out all by yourself. Kinda. *two thumbs up*

Rufus is a big boy, but I bet that makes him so much nicer to cuddly with.

Awesome picture by the way...thanks so much for sharing.

Yes, I'm another one of David's fans, but I can't resist a blog titled 'Loft in Translation', and you seem like a really interesting person. I look forward to reading your blog regularly. But don't let it get too much in the way of your writing! I know what that's like. I really like the stairwell picture.

Your cat is ADORABLE. I had a Very Big And Cranky Cat once, but sadly he became diabetic, which is one of the downsides of a big cat. Hope Rufus stays healthy and happy (well, cat-happy.)

Hey! These guys should cut your cat some's certainly just the angle the photo was taken from. ;)

Entirely off topic...I can't believe the word verification I just had to do on this blog - "cxksotwk"?? I wonder what that is....

Dia dhuit!

Eeeee! Rufus is adorable! *grins* He's just big boned. ::nods:: ;)

I'm commenting on this post because of the cuteness of Rufus ;) but have read the rest of your blog as well and have a couple Scottish-Gaelic phrases for you. I figured I'd tell you the actual language so you didn't think I was simply closing my eyes and mashing the keyboard. *snerk*

"Ciamar a tha sibh?"

"Tha mi airson Gàidhlig ionnsachadh."

*coughs* This one might be something Rodney would say to Carson. ;) Tsk Tsk.

"Cò an caora sin còmhla riut a chunnaic mi an-raoir?"

"Mar sin leibh an dràsda."

And because I'm in a pimping mood *snort* ;) here's a pic.

As you can see my grey cat is well on his way to being Rufus-esque. *grins* But seriously, Daniel's (grey) just naturally large. ::nods:: Nope, not fat at all. ;)
